Most Hearing Aid Repairs Are Done the Same Day
When your hearing aids stop working, you lose more than sound — you lose conversations, phone calls, and confidence in the middle of your day. You shouldn't have to wait a week to get that back. Most repairs and cleanings are handled in our office while you wait. A blocked wax filter, a cracked tube, a corroded battery contact, or a receiver that has given out are all common problems with straightforward fixes. Our audiologists diagnose the issue, explain what happened, and in most cases send you home hearing normally the same visit. For damage that has to go back to the manufacturer, we handle the shipping, paperwork, and follow-up so you're not chasing anyone. Ask about a loaner device while yours is out, and about rush service if you need it back faster.
We Repair Hearing Aids You Didn't Buy From Us
You do not need to be an existing patient. If you bought your hearing aids online, from a big-box retailer, from another clinic, or moved to Las Vegas with devices fitted somewhere else, bring them in. Many people assume a practice will only service its own patients, so they live with a device that isn't working. You don't have to.

In-Office Repairs vs. Manufacturer Service

Handled in our office: deep cleaning and dehumidifying, wax filter and dome replacement, tubing, receiver replacement, battery contact cleaning, reprogramming and fine-tuning, charger testing. Sent to the manufacturer: internal circuitry failures, shell cracks and casing damage, ear mold replacement, water damage beyond surface level, and anything covered under a manufacturer warranty that requires their authorization. When a device goes out for service, we submit it, track it, and call you when it returns.
Common Hearing Aid Problems We Repair
No sound at all — Often a blocked wax filter, dead battery, or failed receiver. Usually fixed in minutes.
Weak or muffled sound — Wax and moisture buildup in the microphone ports and sound outlet are the most common causes. A professional cleaning frequently restores full volume.
Whistling or feedback — Typically a fit problem: a dome or ear mold that no longer seals, or wax in the ear canal. We check both.
Distortion or crackling — Usually moisture damage or a failing receiver. Las Vegas heat and perspiration are hard on hearing aids.
Not charging or holding a charge — Corroded contacts, a failing battery, or a charger fault. We test all three.
Physical damage — Cracked shells, broken battery doors, damaged tubing, torn ear molds. Some repairs happen in-office; others need the manufacturer.
Connectivity problems — Bluetooth pairing failures and app issues are often software, not hardware, and can usually be resolved in one visit.
What Hearing Aid Repair Costs
Cost depends on the problem and whether your device is still under warranty. Most new hearing aids include a manufacturer warranty that covers repairs at no charge. If your aids are under warranty, in-office service and manufacturer repairs are usually covered. For out-of-warranty devices, in-office cleanings and small parts like wax filters and domes vary. Manufacturer repairs on out-of-warranty aids usually include a new warranty period on the repair. We'll tell you the cost before any work begins. No surprises.
We Service All Major Hearing Aid Brands
Our audiologists are trained on every major manufacturer's platform and have the programming software and replacement parts on hand for the brands below. If your device isn't listed, call us — we service many others as well.
Do you repair hearing aids purchased somewhere else? Yes. You don't need to be an existing patient. Bring in aids purchased online, from a retailer, or from another clinic.
How long does a hearing aid repair take? Most in-office repairs and cleanings are completed the same visit. Repairs that require the manufacturer vary, and we can provide a loaner device while you wait.
Do I need an appointment? No. Walk in during business hours for repairs, cleanings, and adjustments. For a full evaluation or a new fitting, scheduling ahead is better.
My hearing aid is under warranty — is the repair free? Usually. Most manufacturer warranties cover repair at no charge during the warranty period. Bring your paperwork if you have it; if not, we can often lookup coverage by serial number.
Can you fix water damage? Often, yes. Bring it in as soon as possible and don't try to dry it with heat —that causes more damage. We have professional drying equipment, and if the internal components are affected we'll send it to the manufacturer.
How often should hearing aids be professionally cleaned? Every three to six months for most people. In a dry, dusty climate like Las Vegas, more frequent cleaning helps considerably.
