What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first hearing aid appointment is the beginning of better hearing.
At your first visit, we’ll take time to understand your hearing needs, your lifestyle, and the situations where you want to hear more clearly. If you already have hearing aids, we’ll evaluate how they’re performing and make careful adjustments so they are fitted to you as comfortably and accurately as possible.
Hearing aids often take time to get used to. Your brain may need to relearn sounds it has not heard clearly in a while, so things can feel different at first. That is completely normal. Our goal is to make that transition easier, more comfortable, and more successful.
During your visit, we may:
- Review your hearing history and current concerns
- Check the fit and comfort of your hearing aids
- Adjust programming based on your hearing needs
- Help you understand what sounds to expect
- Answer questions about daily use, cleaning, batteries, or charging
- Schedule follow-up care if more fine-tuning is needed
